ITREND

The members and the management of North Hungarian IT Cluster, recognising the importance and potentials of the ICT industry here, are committed to join the North Hungarian Region into circulation efficiently by providing long-term opportunities and stability to the IT and IT related companies.

The aim of the conference

Corresponding to the aforementioned aims North Hungarian IT Cluster has launched ITREND, the largest annual ICT conference in the region. We do believe that it is important to represent the acquaintance of nationally acknowledged professionals locally. However, a great and efficient opportunity is ensured for the local personae to introduce themselves, to build a useful social capital and to make up flourishing businesses.

ITREND 2010

The first ITREND conference was organised on 30th November, 2010. It has been evaluated as a successful initiative, as the conference itself attracted more than 100 companies and numerous university students. The success was followed by positive feedback from the press, thus the Cluster positioned itself and got hold of recognition among the local government, as well.

Forum of ICT Clusters

To improve our efficiency, five national Accredited ICT Clusters entered into an alliance on the very day of the ITREND conference in 2010 by signing a cooperation agreement. The forum ensures the sharing of best practice among the clusters and the cluster managers; furthermore it provides an effective lobby activity towards the local and national government.

ITREND 2011

The success of ITREND 2010 was a milestone in the Cluster’s life. It also strengthened our belief that there is potential in the North Hungarian Region, which has a strong urge for professional development,  openness to novelty and looks forward the opportunities. Based on last’ years experiences, this fall we organised ITREND again, this time with a more powerful conception in order to approach a wider range of people. In association with HITA (Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency), NORRIA (North Hungarian Innovation Agency) and the University of Miskolc, we awaited more than 130 guest who could listened to more than 20 presentations from well-acknowledged professionals around the nation.
