Services

Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. is Hungary's leading network of applied research institutes. The objective of our state-owned institutes is to boost the international economic significance of companies operating in Hungary by providing them our R&D services.

R&D services of the research institutes of Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd.:

- help domestic enterprises to get novel technologies with added value

- develop new and/or upgraded products, technologies and services that can be sold in the domestic and international markets

- provide such solutions for the problems identified by quality assurance that fit into the existing production system

- optimize technologies currently in use, provide an innovative solution for the problems arising during their operation

- cooperate efficiently in market-oriented research and development

We build strategic cooperation with the help of our researchers known and acclaimed domestically and internationally as well as with our extensive network of contacts, thus playing an active role in building bridges between domestic enterprises and the R&D sphere.

In addition to its research services, Bay Zoltán Non-profit Ltd. intends to develop a close and interactive relationship with the domestic players in the national, regional and county-wide innovation systems. The services of Bay Zoltán Non-profit Ltd.  HunOR Office can be used free of charge by all Hungarian research institutes and SMEs.

Bay Zoltán Non-profit Ltd. leases offices and warehouses with low utility costs to start-up enterprises dealing with research and development. Within the framework of the state-run incubation programme, we provide the following services:

- occasional use of meeting rooms and a fully-equipped conference room (10-40 participants) at a discounted price

- 24-hour reception service

- mailbox in place

- leased line Internet, landline phone at discounted price

- hot buffet

- use of high-performance xerox machine

- free parking

Activities

The aim of Hungary's largest and most successful institution of applied research, Bay Zoltán Non-profit Ltd. is to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of enterprises in Hungary through successful innovation and technology transfer, in close cooperation with domestic and leading foreign partner institutions. We intend to fulfill this mission by implementing various national and international research and development projects.

We focus our R&D activity on the following areas:

- Material science, nano- and laser technology

- Biotechnology

- Information and communication technology

- Environmental industry

- Logistics and industrial production technology

- Mechanical, physical, chemical-analytical measurement technology

- Genomics

- Control technology

In order to realize these objectives, our state-owned research institutes offer complex scientific and technical solutions  to achieve a more efficient and fruitful operation for our domestic and foreign client base - which means over 200 enterprises at the  moment. We play the role of "bridge of innovation" for our partner institutes through the activities of applied research-development and technology transfer.

In addition to our research activities, Bay Zoltán Non-profit Ltd. supports the institute's participation in EU and other international R&D&I programmes, coordinates the EURAXESS researcher mobility programme at national level as well as conducts the operation and professional management Brussels KFI HunOR Office with a countrywide mandate, under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice.

The activities of Bay Zoltán Non-profit Ltd. include the state-run incubation of small and medium enterprises as well. We lease offices and warehouses with low utility costs start-up enterprises dealing with research and development.

Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. has associated member status in ICT Association of Hungary since 2014.
